ISABELLA WINERY’S MANAGER

Beatriz Gil was born in Barcelona ,Spain and moved to Canada in 2000. She expend three years in the prestigious ESADE Business School in Barcelona (Marketing for Executives).
In 2006 she was appointed Honorary Consul of Spain in Vancouver. In 2007 she hold the title of Spanish Wine Educator from the Wine Academy of Spain in Vancouver. Beatriz has been in the industry for 10 years now. She has a passion for Wine and her dedication is truly remarkable.
Manager at Isabella Winery has extensive experience sharing her passion for the world of wine. She is outstanding in her field of expertise; has strong communications skills, implements solid marketing and advertising plans and overall has a natural love for the wine industry.
OUR SOMMELIER

Sommelier, Ramón Fresneda was born in Alcoy, Spain and grew up next door to vineyards, wine producers and with the bouquet of grapes fermenting in the air. In addition, many of Ramón’s relatives owned their own wineries and vineyards resulting in a childhood upbringing encouraging a natural appreciation and love for wine that he says is “like the blood in his veins.”
Ramón brings his extensive background from Spain and over fifteen years of Pan Pacific five diamond service experience at the Five Sails restaurant. Ramón shares his wine expertise and talents and is known as an approachable Sommelier. He takes great pride and pleasure introducing guests to wines in which they may not be familiar resulting in delight and appreciation in the discovery of something new that also balances perfectly with Isabella Winery wines.
OUR WINEMAKER
Fernando Fontan was born in Madrid ,Spain and moved to Canada in March 2011.
He hold a degree in Chemistry “Agricultural Chemistry” Innovation Specialist in Viticulture, Enology and Wine Economics. INEA college of Agricultural Engineering University of Valladolid.
Over the past four years he has been working in Bodegas y Vinedos Casa del Valle, belonging to the Olarra Group, managing 82 Ha of vineyards (Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot and other white varieties) processing 1 million kilograms of grapes during the harvest, and bottles 2,5 million liters a year.
Winemaking, tasting of wines, grapes and musts, traces of maturation and fermentation, processing, assembling, maintenance and prepare to bottle wines.
Maintenance inspections, product control, monitoring workers, implementation and monitoring of HACCP, IFS, DLG system, cellar records, etc.
He joined Isabella Winery last November 2011.
